FAQs
If you have any further questions, please get in touch using the details below.
1 / Why do I need to fill out a questionnaire?
This allows me get a glimpse of any medication, accidents and general health before your treatment. If it is for the bladder, it also helps you to see how much you have improved.
2 / Why do I need to be on time?
Your appointment is your time to commit to your health and wellbeing and, if you arrive late, it will be deducted from your allocated appointment. Some circumstances mean that you will be running late. Therefore, I allow for a maximum of 15 minutes grace. If you are over 15 minutes later than the agreed scheduled time, you will forfeit the appointment and your deposit.
3 / What will I feel during a Myofascial release treatment?
Once the treatment has begun, and depending on the area that needs attention, you will experience slight pressure within your tolerance levels. I experience a sensation of melting ice, which prompts me to then move on to other affected areas.
4 / Will I feel any discomforts when you do a treatment?
All my treatments are done to your tolerance. When you arrive for your appointment, I explain that you are in control of the feedback. I call it the sweet spot, as it will feel nice and not hurt - because that doesn’t help you.
5 / How soon will I feel or see the benefits from a treatment?
Each individual person is different. Some will experience a shift straight away. It may involve a few treatments depending on your symptoms. This will be discussed as a package that suits you. Also, you may only see me twice a year depending again on what issues you may be experiencing.
6 / What should I wear for my treatment?
Wear something you are comfortable in. Depending on whether I have to check your posture, then I will ask you to wear shorts and t-shirt. If you are having Myofascial Release, I ask ladies to wear a open back bra, but you will be covered up on the area I am not treating.
7 / Why do you have to check my posture?
I will check your posture as you may feel the restriction in one area, but it may be caused by something else out of place. So, when I evaluate your response and how it affects you, this will help determine whether you may require a package or short-term treatment.
8 / What does 'unwinding' mean on the Myofascial release?
The body has a way of balancing us when we hurt ourselves.
9 / Can I stop taking my medication after a treatment?
I am not a medical professional and would advise all clients who wanted to stop taking prescribed medication to seek GP or specialist advice.
10 / What are the potential side effects?
It can vary on each individual person. It can range from spasms (also known as unwinding) and emotional release. It may feel like a temporary setback, but this will not be long lasting,.
